About the role

Academic Work is on behalf of our client ÅAC Microtec looking for a Space Systems Bid Manager to their Business Development team in Uppsala. Today about 25 employees work at the office consisting of a wide mix of personalities and seniority. In turn, this mix means that there is room to learn from more experienced colleagues and have a lot of fun at work. Academic Work is responsible for the recruitment process and the candidate that proceeds will be employed directly by ÅAC Microtec.

Job duties

As a Space Systems Bid Manager, you will work with the sales process focusing on subsystems for small satellites. You will work with the entire process; from when the specification comes in until the offer is approved and the contract is signed with the customer. Together with project managers and technical resources, you will find the best solution for both existing and new customers of ÅAC Microtec.

For example, you will:

  • Develop quotations, technical proposals and solutions to the customer according to their needs and requirements

  • Be responsible for business relations and client contacts

  • Manage and administrate requests

In this position you will also get the opportunity to visit international conferences and meet potential clients as well as promote the products of ÅAC Microtec.

To make sure that you have a great start to learn all about the company, the technology and the products; you will complete an introductory program. You will also be supported daily, mainly by colleagues in the same role as you.

We are looking for

We think that you have a deep interest for technology and want to take the challenge of working in a unique industry together with other driven employees.

  • A university education in a relevant technical field

  • Experience within sales or development of industrial products containing electronics and software

  • Fluency in English

  • Good understanding of the industry, or the ability and will to learn more about it

As a person, you have the ability to work hard and spend time, energy and commitment into your work. You know what to focus on and do not give up until the project is completed or the result achieved. Furthermore, you get the ability to adapt to different situations and achieve and exceed the expectations of both colleagues and clients. Even if conditions would be changed, you accept the new situation and know how to prioritize.

  • Start: By agreement, preferably as soon as possible

  • Work extent: Full time, with a six months probationary period

  • Location: Uppsala Science Park
